Tom Doyle took this photo on Sunday, January 2. He writes: "I noticed a mist rising from the melting snow and went to Kenridge Farm to shoot a bench in the field below Angola Rd. I had been thinking about that bench for a while. Took some shots of the bench and the surrounding trees but was not happy with the effort so I went to a pond along the entry road to see what I could see.
Decided to use the weather worn cat-tails in the foreground and the old oak on the far side of the pond. The mist from the thaw softens the entire image and the water on the icey surface gives a partial redflection of the oak - funny thing about landscape photography - you never really know what will turn up."
