General News: Pipeline Construction Underway

All may be quiet, and there may not be visible construction activity at the Kiryas Joel primary well site on State Route 32 in the Town Cornwall, but that is not the case in Town of Woodbury at the site of the present actual pipeline construction.
On Friday, April 19, pipeline excavation and construction was proceeding at the borderline of Kiryas Joel and Woodbury at a feverishly rapid rate on controversial the Kiryas Joel waterline that is expected to extend a distance of over 13 miles from the New Windsor Water Treatment Plant on Riley Road, site of an an existing tap of the NYC Catskill Aqueduct, to KJ.
No protesters were observed anywhere in the area on Friday.
Seven Springs Mountain Road between Bakertown and Seven Springs Roads is currently a hotbed of pipeline activity. The excavators and backhoes are busy digging the trench along the shoulder of the road and placing the large pipe, and crews of workers are working inside the trench, on the placed pipe.
