General News: CCHS Drama Club Presents H2$

CCHS DRAMA CLUB PRESENTS H2$
CCHS DRAMA CLUB PRESENTS H2$
April 04, 2013

Cornwall Central High School’s Drama Club and Music Department are delighted to present the musical-comedy classic, How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying (H2$), on April 11th through April 14th.

Set in the office building of a monolithic, multi-national company, we are immediately introduced to our “hero”, an affable window washer, who is determined to make his way to the top. However, time is of the essence, so he uses his “golden book” to keep him focused and moving full speed ahead. Along the way, he runs into and over a colorful collection of corporate characters that have agendas of their own. From the philandering company president, to the nepotistic nephew, to the salacious secretary, to the woman who steals our hero’s heart, there are plenty of riotous and romantic obstacles to overcome while making the meteoric rise to the top.

H2$ triumphed on Broadway when it originally opened in 1961, winning seven major Tony Awards. A very successful film adaptation was released in 1967, and in recent years, there have been several revivals, starring the likes of Matthew Broderick and Daniel Radcliffe. Any show that starred Ferris Bueller and Harry Potter is a MUST SEE!

Performances are April 11th through 13th at 7pm, and April 14th at 2pm. Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $8.00 for seniors and students, except on Thursday, April 11th, where all seats are $5.00. You can reserve your seats by calling 845-497-3914, or you can email your requests to: [email protected].

So, get down to business and make sure you succeed in getting to Cornwall Central High School to see one of the most mischievous and uproarious musicals ever written. The climb up the corporate ladder has never been more entertaining!
