General News: Basketball Season Heats Up This Week

The Cornwall Central High School Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball teams are headed into the homestretch leading to the Section 9 playoffs. School Athletic Director Lou Cioffi notes that both teams received the #1 seeds in the upcoming Sectionals.
This week, the boys team will play an at-home game on Tuesday, February 28 at 6 pm against New Paltz. The girls basketball will be at home on Thursday, March 1, where they will play the winner of a game between Monticello and Goshen.
If the boys win on Tuesday, there will be a home doubleheader on Thursday with the girls playing at 5:30 pm, followed by the boys playing at 7 pm.
If the boys lose on Tuesday, then the girls game on Thursday will start at 6 pm.
