Brownie Girl Scout Troop #48 from Cornwall-on Hudson paid a visit to The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley recently as part of their effort to earn the “I Can Help Food Patch”. The girls collected enough food to feed a family of four for a day and donated the items to the Food Bank.
A tour of the warehouse followed and the scouts asked many questions about how a Food Bank works. Troop Leader Caroline Yarton said “It is especially meaningful around the holiday season to educate the girls about hunger in our community and how they can help.”
