Children of all ages are welcomed to the Cornwall Public Library for a series of special events this week to celebrate Children's Book Week, which ends November 19th. During the week, programs are offered that "celebrate the written word while introducing children to new authors and new ideas," according to the Children's Book Week organization.
When you're at the library with your children, be sure to look at the special exhibit case to see photos of library staff members as children. Staff members have also selected their own favorite children's stories and put them on display.
On Wednesday and Thursday, parents are invited to bring their children to Storytime at 10:30 a.m. at the Cornwall library. Friday evening toddlers aged 3 to 5 can bring their cuddly friends with them for Pajama Storytime at 6:00 p.m. Saturday features a bookfest at the library, with a worskhop on making your own book at 10:30 a.m.. Registration is required for some events. For more info., call 534-8282.
