When John Olley moved his BBE Designs embroidery business into a warehouse on Mill Street in Cornwall last year, his space was transformed into an imaginary Main Street populated by puppets and a replica of the shark from the movie “Jaws.”
Where did all of these new neighbors come from? Olley is now sharing the space with Bill Diamond, a master puppeteer and designer of props for the movie industry and Diamond decorated Olley’s new space so that he would feel at home after moving his business from Torrey Lane.
Did you know that you can borrow electronic books from the Cornwall Public Library? Library director Karen LaRocca-Fels reminds library users that if you have a Nook reader, an Apple Ipad or a Sony e-reader you can now borrow books electronically.
LaRocca-Fels says readers should go to the library website at www.cornwallpubliclibrary.org and log in with your library card number. If you click on E-books you will be connected to the Overdrive website --- and a catalogue of books that are available through the Ramapo-Catskill system as well as additional titles available through the Cornwall library.
If a title is available, you set your own return date and when the date arrives, the title is automatically returned to the bookshelf. If there isn’t a copy of the book available for download, you can sign up for it on a waiting list and you will be notified when it becomes available.
