Cornwall Recreational Soccer
Week of October 30


Grade 2-3 Division

Badgers 3, Bears 0
Ally Ackerman, Jack Kempton, and Gavin Vallet each scored to lead the Badgers while Sara Caoili played good defense.

Michael Giardina played great in goal with an amazing save on a direct kick. Morgan King showed outstanding hustle on defense stealing the ball frequently. Bryce Babcock demonstrated his tremendous speed by dribbling around opponents.


Cougars 2, Panthers 0

The Cougars topped the Tigers 2-0 in the 9:15 am game on Saturday. Sophia Harding had a spectacular left-footed goal and Emily Garrison and Emma Mozgiel played great defense to once again preserve the shutout.


Bulls 0, Pumas 0
In this defensively dominated game some outstanding plays were made by Brendan Dineen and Myles Cartoon. Anthony Cerra made several shots on goal that just missed!


Grade 4 Division


Cardinals 1, Eagles 0
The Eagles played against the Cardinals in a tough defensive battle this Saturday. Francesca Moschetti, Kevin and Kyle Brady and Isabella Rios lead the way for the Eagles with extraordinary goalkeeping. David Stingle was great on both sides of the field. Both teams played well in a defensive battle. The Cardinals Emmitt Munterich scored the games only goal. Joseph Giardina, Samantha Fitzgerald & Michael DeVogel all played well for the Cardinals.


Owls, Jays

The Owls beat the Jays this week in a tough game. Billy Ormiston and Molly Fowler scored for the Owls. Ryan Hogan and Sean Mosca created several good offensive opportunities. Morgan Hurst hustled all game.


Grade 5-6 Division

Strikers vs. Blitz, 3-0; Strikers vs. Arrows, 3-1 (Game from 10/22)

The Strikers still remain undefeated after Saturday's double header. Jake Bainnson scored two goals against the Blitz. Damhan McKenna had an assist to JR Rinaldi who put it in the goal. Antonio Guzman and Justin Coyle played first rate defense.

James Santorelli scored off a McKenna corner kick against the Arrows. Chris Kehoe twice with assists from Santorelli and Bainnson. Joe Beccalori and Justin Gagnon gave good support.

Rowdies 4, Cosmos 0 (Game from 10/22)
Pierce Kerin scored a goal for the Rowdies as did Dalton Weis. Ryan Trieste added 2 more goals while Ryan Mayo and Mark Kresevic played solidly at midfield and defense.

Comets 1, Metors 1

Cassidy Brusseler and Sarah Bale hustled all day. Rheonna Koss made some terrific saves in net. Kaylie Laguardia knocked in the lone goal.

Heat 4, Flames 0

Alexa Ziler, Sydney Finkelstein, Emma Sidoti, and Sarah Carpenter all had goals for the Heat. Angela Tommasi and Reese Smyth were awesome on defense.

Strikers Vs. Cosmos 5-0
Alex Krause fought hard for the Striker's first goal. Jake Bainnson, Chris Kehoe, Steven Jennings, and James Santorelli each netted a goal in the second half. Damhan McKenna, Justin Gagnon, JR Rinaldi, and Joe Beccalori gave great support the entire game.



Grade 7-10 Division


Mexico 2, Argentina 0

Goals were scored by Matt Wheeler and Joe Meakim with assists from Dan Storer and Matt Wheeler. Great all around game by Sean Coleman, Dan Hess and Ty Molloy with strong goalkeeping from Roger Sinclair.
