Week of October 9, 2010

Grade 2-3 Division

Lions 2, Wolverines 0
John Haring scored twice in a game that wasn’t over until the final whistle. Jacob Seymour played a superb game at goalie and Katherine Braccia tied the opponents up at midfield all game.

Bulls 2, Bears 0
Lizzy Walklet and Brendan Dineen scored the two goals that put the Bulls on top. Quinn Andrews made some dazzling moves on offense as well.

Coral Barrett and Shelbie Johnson each had several saves holding their opponents scoreless in consecutive quarters. Jack Cherry showed amazing footwork in the midfield stopping several attacks from the Bulls offense.

Jaguars vs. Panthers
Great goal-keeping by Jaimie White and Michael Noto kept the score close throughout a very wide open game. Jaiden Pean scored the Jaquars first goal to close the gap and give the Jaquars some momentum.

The Panthers had a great game day. Donovan Fay scored multiple goals. Other goals were scored by Daniel Mulligan, Christina Coppola, Amaris Washington and Kathryn Gagnon. Jonathan Gagnon handled the ball with exceptional skill and Allison Reel did a quick thinking pull back in the presence of a line of defenders.

Pumas 2, Rams 3
In a close game, Sean Sugre scored two breakaway goals. Anna Wickiser and Brayden McTigue hustled to support the offensive line.

Badgers 1, Cobras 0
Gavin Vallet scored the Badgers lone goal. Jack Kempton and Julia Williams also helped spearhead the attack while David Olsen played good defense.

Cougars 2, Cheetahs 0
Outstanding efforts were turned in by Samantha Jacopino and Kai Wipplinger on defense to preserve the shutout while Matthew Carton lead the offensive charge, scoring twice.


Grade 4 Division

Owls 2 Hawks 2
The Owls and Hawks played to a 2-2 tie this Saturday. Tommy Doyle scored both goals for the Owls and Sean Mosca and Olivia Perez each had an assist. Kaitlyn Frey and Olivia Livingston showed great hustle for the Owls.

Blaine Doyle and Joseph Maddalena scored the goals for the Hawks. Michael Martens played great in Midfield and Nicholas Pastore had an all around great game.

Falcons/Cardinals
The Falcons beat the Cardinals in a close game this week. David Russell scored 2 goals and Chris Dolan scored the winning goal in the closing moments. Aidan Janus and Chloe Love were excellent in midfield and defense.


Jays 3 Eagles 0
The Jays beat the Eagles 3-0 this weekend. Ethan Gaboff scored 2 goals and Mia Reed scored one for the Jays. The whole team did a great job working together passing. Deanna Cavazza played tough as well as Molly Cameron.

 

Grade 5 Division

Rowdies 2 Strikers 2
Dalton Weis and Ryan Trieste scored goals for the Rowdies, while Cole Neville and Jackson Fedro anchored the defense in a competitve battle.
