General News: Summer Fun Casting Call for Young Performers

Is your child a performer waiting for the opportunity to shine in a hometown performance with a leading director and choreographer with NYC credits? Well, that time is now!
Riverside Theatre Arts have opened a casting call for young performers, guys and girls, who are ages 10 and up for their newest summer workshop and performance on August 20th.
Justin Boccitto, leading Broadway director and choreographer, will instruct this latest workshop and performance. Boccitto, who currently directs and choreographs for Broadway's Circle In The Square Theatre school and is guest faculty at The Julliard School will instruct the children during a 10am to 5 pm workshop at the Orange County Choppers headquarters in Newburgh. Along with Justin, young performers will be working alongside experienced local college student performers, who will also lend their voices and acting talents to the show. Following the workshop will be an exciting final performance at 7pm also held in the OCC headquarters.
Riverside Theatre Arts pride itself in celebrating the joy of song and dance with children in Orange County and thanks OCC for partnering on this special event. In July, RTA had its first summer event, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," which included 22 gleeGirl campers and an audience of 175 attendees at their final performance in the Walter Reade, Jr. Theatre in Cornwall.
Inspired by the Orange County Choppers' support and their uniquely beautiful old school bikes, Riverside Theatre Arts has chosen to do a 50's-60's Leader of the Pack theme performance.
Tuition for the workshop and performance will be $65, and tickets for the final performance will be $10 per person. Due to limited enrollment space, don't wait to reserve a spot and your favorite 50's or 60's themed solo tune that you want to perform!
