One thing that needs to be considered in the execution of this project is the extension of Route 218 through the Cornwall Commons property, connecting it to Forge Hill Road just west of the 1-800-MATTRESS warehouse. This would dramatically reduce the traffic at the intersection of Forge Hill Rd and Route 9W, shorten the school bus route from the Village to the High School, and improve the personal safety of all village residents who use this route.
