I am disappointed, but not surprised, to see our town government increase spending in spite of the current dire economic circumstances. If our town board had any sense of civic responsibility they would have proposed a cut in spending that would result in a reduction of property taxes.
Too bad property taxes aren't tied to income...
Continued action of this sort WILL eventually result in a taxpayer revolt. When this happens, our schools will suffer greatly. California's public school system never recovered from Prop. 13.

I agree with you Frank, very disappointing that our town board didn't take into consideration the economy and how an increase in the budget will put a heavier burden on us. Totally unnecessary - shame on you!

I have worked this out and it is costing us 6.66 per month or the equiivelant of $80.00 for the 2009 year.
