General News: Major Softball Team Scores Another Win

District 19 champs, the Cornwall major softball team, defeated Wappingers Falls 13-1 on Saturday.
Megan Staudle had two hits and four RBI to lead in the opening-round Section 2 win. Caroline Staudle added two hits and two RBI for Cornwall, Olivia Jebb had two hits and an RBI.
Cassie Browne also knocked in 3 RBI. Allison Scott picked up the win letting go only three hits.
Cornwall plays Pearl River, the district 16 winner, in the second round of section 2 playoffs at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Cornwall.
