General News: First Varsity Game: Cornwall vs Monroe

Local football fans can look forward to the start of the high school football season next Friday, September 5.
The Cornwall Dragons varsity team, starting its second year under the direction of head football coach Marcus Hughes, will face the team from Monroe-Woodbury. Monroe is a perennial Section IX and state powerhouse AA school, and Cornwall is the defending Section IX, class A champion.
School officials warn that a large crowd is expected at the 7 p.m. game and encourage people to car pool or walk to the game. In an effort to insure adequate and efficient parking for the game, parking admission will be $3.00. There will be no admission charged for entrance to the game.
