General News: Motorcycle Accident on Route 9W Claims Life

A motorcyclist from Queens died Sunday when he lost control of his Yamaha motorcycle on Route 9W at the top of Storm King Mountain, police say.
Cornwall police chief Todd Hazard says that 32-year-old Eddie Lee lost control near the summit and crossed the center median and went into the path of an on-coming pick up truck. The operator of the truck, Robert McCormick, 58, of New Windsor, was unable to avoid a collision.
The operator of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Kevin Quigley.
