General News: Police Arrest Two in Burglary

Cornwall-on-Hudson police have arrested two people for possession of stolen property and are seeking a third person in connection with a July 29 break-in at a Wood Avenue residence.
After a 5-day investigation, police recovered proceeds from the theft at a business in Newburgh and they charged Heather Lynch, 20, and John Hembree, 20, both of Cornwall-on-Hudson, with the misdemeanor of having stolen property. They were released on their own recognizance.
Police chief Charles Williams said his officers were able to break the case because "it was not random and we concentrated our efforts on people who live in the area where the crime occured." Police expect to make a third arrest in the case shortly.
