General News: Six Week Art Walk Planned

The Greater Cornwall Chamber of Commerce (GCCC) is hosting the Greater Cornwall Art Walk, a six-week long event that will display the artwork of more than 30 local artists in local businesses throughout the town and village. Artwork will be on display from May 17 through June 28.
To kick off the event, a “Meet the Artists” reception will be held on May 17 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Sands Ring Homestead, located at 174 Main Street in Cornwall. This session is open to the public, and will provide an opportunity to speak with participating artists and view samples of their work.
“The Art Walk is a great opportunity for artists to collaborate with local businesses to foster and stimulate interest in the Greater Cornwall Area,” said Bob DeWit, president of the Greater Cornwall Chamber of Commerce. “We expect this event to raise public awareness of what the area has to offer, and increase traffic to community shops and restaurants.”
