General News: Town Expands Its Summer Rec Program
April 12, 2007
Students in Cornwall schools will be eligible to sign up for a full day of summer fun this year, according to town board member Mary Beth Greene Kraft. She told the board on Monday that the department of recreation will hold two sessions each day this summer, one from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and one from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. In the past, only the morning session was available.
Superintendant Dick Randazzo proposed that the fee for the six-week summer program be set at $150 per session for Cornwall residents and $175 per session for children in the Cornwall school district who live outside the town boundaries. Approval of the fee was unanimous by the board.
Registration for the summer program begins on May 1, 2007, at Town Hall.
