Students at the middle school are collecting money this week in honor of Mr. Taylor, their 7th grade social studies teacher who is currently deployed in Afghanistan.
The 7th and 8th graders are participating in “Tunes for Taylor”, purchasing ITunes gift cards with the funds they raise and will be shipping them over to Afghanistan for soldiers working near Mr. Taylor.
In a daily announcement to all middle schoolers and their parents it said “We would like Mr. Taylor to come home, see all we’ve done in his honor and feel supported by the Cornwall Community. "
The students that donate can then sign a small poster to be hung in the school showing their support for the troops.
