The newly-paved stretch of Mountain Road |
December 13, 2007
Just in time before the snow started falling, crews from the Department of Public Works completed the paving of Mountain Road in the area where they earlier repaired a small stone bridge.
The bridge, which was repaired by funds from the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA), has been topped with a metal guardrail. DPW acting director Dave Halvorsen said that if the village can find funds for the project the guardrail can be replaced with a stone wall.
