General News: Auxiliary Police Retire
December 11, 2007
The Cornwall town board acknowledged the service of two 27-year veterans of the auxiliary police at its meeting on Monday.
Supervisor Richard Randazzo awarded plaques and badges to Al Lent and Hector Torres, who retired from the force on November 30.
“These two men served their community well for a long time,” Randazzo said, “Twenty seven years of service and not a dollar’s pay.” Both Lent and Torres volunteered their services.
Lent achieved the rank of auxiliary police caption and Torres was an auxiliary police lieutenant.
