General News: Icy Roads, Accidents Close Route 9W

Route 9W was closed in both directions on Monday morning while police responded to numerous accidents on the icy roads.
Commuters reported that traffic southbound approaching Storm King Mountain came to a halt before 7 a.m. and on the northbound side coming off the mountain shortly after 7 a.m. Southbound traffic was re-routed onto Deer Hill Road.
Cornwall Schools also announced a two-hour delay to allow for highway crews to clear the roads.
