Skeletons will greet you! |
October 30, 2007
Do you want to get really spooked this Halloween? If so, head up to 55 Duncan Avenue in Cornwall-on-Hudson, where some theatre professionals from New York City have installed a haunt that is sure to send shivers up your spine.
The Quinn family, who live in the seemingly normal 19th-century home, is inviting trick-or-treaters to knock on their door and experience the story of Thadeus Corn.
According to legend, years ago on Halloween, Thadeus Corn, a notorious smuggler, held one of his enemies hostage at this very house. The house was raided in an effort to free the hostage, and no one inside escaped. Now, Thadeus and his family will return this Halloween seeking their revenge. Do you dare to pay them a visit?
Russell Dreher, an actor and serious student of professional haunted houses, is a friend of the Quinns and he is working with a professional lighting designer and makeup artist to create this Halloween experience for one night only.
Margaret Quinn invites children and adults to stop by during trick or treating, enjoy a scare or two, and get some of the best treats and tricks on the block!
