General News: Two Teens Arrested for Larceny
October 29, 2007
Cornwall police arrested two teenagers early Sunday for larceny after the 17-year-old males were spotted trying to take a global positioning device (GPS) from a car parked in the driveway of a home on Sheldon Drive.
The car belonged to an off-duty New York City police officer who caught one of the teens while the other fled on foot.
When Cornwall police arrived on the scene at 1 a.m., they began searching for the second suspect, who came out of a wooded area and turned himself him, according to police.
Police chief Todd Hazard said in a statement that police believe the pair also entered vehicles in the area of Maple and Union Streets, where they stole an Ipod charger and a satellite radio.
Both teens, one of whom lives in Cornwall and the other in Cornwall-on-Hudson, were charged with petty larceny, a class A misdemeanor.

...and this is why there should be a curfew, and not just on Halloween. Hey, maybe these are the kids who stole my GPS, iPod and charger out of my car in August.
