General News: St. Luke's Cornwall-Mt. Sinai Partner
January 18, 2007
St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital took a big step forward on Thursday when hospital president Allan Atzrott signed an agreement with Dr. Kenneth L. Davis, the head of Mount Sinai Medical Center, to create a partnership between the two institutions.
In a ceremony at the Cornwall campus of the hospital, Atzrott praised Mount Sinai as one of the finest health care institutions in the country.
Patients at St. Luke’s Cornwall will now be able to benefit from the physicians and technology at Mount Sinai.
According to St. Luke Cornwall Hospital, patients there will have easy access to care at Mount Sinai, including the specialties of gynecologic oncology, in vitro fertilization, and kidney transplantation. The arrangement provides for a special service to coordinate physician-to-physician contact, consultations, specialized diagnostic services, and patient transfers.
