Obituaries: Edythe Mildred Morina

Edythe Mildred Morina, former long-time resident of Cornwall, NY passed away at The Valley View Nursing Home, in Goshen, NY on November 8, 2014. She was 95 years old.
The daughter of Bertram Hockin and Irene Smith Hockin, she was born on May 7, 1919 in Congers, NY.
Edythe was a devoted mother and loving wife who touched the lives of all the people she met. She will be missed greatly. Edythe was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence J. Morina Jr. and her daughter, Sandra J. Morina.
Surviving children are Marjorie A. Ronskavitz, of Pompano Beach, FL, Robert L. Morina of Wallkill, NY, James R. Morina, of Lake Worth, FL, Joyce E. Klein, of Calabash, NC, Lawrence J. Morina III, of Lake Worth, FL; Elizabeth A. Miles, of Cornwall, NY. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory, 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Family and friends are invited to gather from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12th at Quigley's Funeral Home, 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall, NY, which at that time there will be a small service at 8:30 p.m. lead by Pastor Julia Winward, pastor of the Cornwall United Methodist Church.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date by the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Edythe's name and sent to the Cornwall United Methodist Church, 196 Main Street, Cornwall, NY. 12518.
