Joseph R. Hennessey, of Murrells Inlet, SC entered into eternal rest on May 23, 2014 at home. He 61 years old. The son of Joseph D. and Geraldine Fry Hennessey, he was born on Dec. 31, 1952 in Hackensack NJ.
Joseph was member of the Knights of Columbus in Cornwall and Murrells Inlet, SC. Joseph R. Hennessey was a counter salesman for Swift Electric Supply in Nanuet, NY. Also a member of IBEW union in NY.
Joseph R. Hennessey is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Fahy Hennessey of Cornwall-on-Hudson NY; son, Joseph Hennessey of Cornwall-On-Hudson NY, daughters: Elizabeth Steele and husband, Dennis of Long Island, Katherine Hennessey of Bronx, NY and Margaret Hennessey of Boca Raton FL. Sisters: Leslie Babcock and Susan Watson of Murrells Inlet SC, also Jessica Nelson of Cummings GA. Grandchildren: Dennis, Emma and Jack Steele, Declan, Chloe, Tierney Hennessey Delaporte.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson NY 12520. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2014 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson NY.
