Margery A. Dudman, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, entered into eternal rest on May 11, 2014. She was 82 years old. The daughter of Robert and Eunice Higgs, Margery was born on January 5, 1932 in Auburn, N.Y.
Margery earned her Nursing Degree from Lenox Hill Hospital. She was a nurse at West Point Hospital and a school nurse at Cornwall-on- Hudson and St. Thomas schools.
Margery was a loving, kind and generous wife and mother. She played cards with her husband daily, and on paper owed him more than the national debt. She would never fail to lift the spirits of those around her with a joke, or with tongue sticking out. As a follower of high fashion she was frequently seen wearing sweat shirts with Disney characters. She could often be found blowing raspberries on the feet of infant relatives. She will be missed greatly.
Margery Dudman is survived by her husband of 52 years, William Dudman; her four children, Bill, Mark, Thomas and Susan; as well as four grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall -On-Hudson, NY 12520, NY 12520. A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 16,2014, at St. Thomas of Canterbury at 340 Hudson Street.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Hudson Valley Food Bank, 195 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520.
