John Anthony Burich of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and formerly of Cornwall, NY entered into eternal rest on April 23, 2014 at Palm Beach Medical Center. He was 72 years old.
The son of John Burich and Mary Barletta Burich, John was born on February 14, 1942 in the Bronx NY.
John earned his Bachelor's degree from Fordham University. John was the Manager of the Storm King Golf Club Restaurant in Cornwall, NY.
He was a coach for Pop Warner football, member of CCHS Booster Club, Dragon Football Assoc., President of Cornwall Little League and is on their Honor Roll, Little League Yankee's Coach, and served on the Board of Directors of Storm King Golf Club. John honorably served in the NY National Guard from 1964 to 1970.
He was an active member of St. Thomas of Canterbury Church serving as a Eucharistic Minister.
A family statement reads: "John took great pride in his family and their achievements. He lived for his wife, children and spouses and grandchildren. John constantly said 'His legacy in life was them'."
John Anthony Burich is survived by his wife, Jeannine of 47 years, at home; his children: Jamee Brusseler and husband, Chuck, and John Michael Burich and his wife, Kristine. He was "Poppy" to Scott, and Cassidy Brusseler, Elle and Emma Burich. He is survived by his brother, Ronald and sister-in-law, Marcy Burich. He was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Burich.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Monday, April 28th at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall, NY 12520. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29th at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson St., Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Cremation will follow the Mass in Cedar Hill, Newburgh, NY.
