Charles Truhn entered into eternal rest on April 11, 2014 at St. Lukes Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. He just celebrated his 80th birthday. To have known him is to have loved him. He will continue to live in our hearts.
Charles is the son of the late Charles and Myrtle Truhn, born in Brooklyn, NY.
Charles is survived by his loving wife, Judith of 54 years and his loving children: Diana and Manny Desousa of New Windsor, NY, Eric and Lisa Truhn of Marlboro, NY, and Carl and Dawn Truhn of Hackettstown, NJ. In addition to complete his beautiful life, he is survived by his grandchildren: Rachel and Jon Rosario, Charlie Desousa, Erica Truhn, Lauren, Karinna and Ryan Truhn; and great grandchildren: Jonathan and Gabriel Rosario. Also part of his loving family circle are his sisters: Elizabeth McGill and Winifred and Robert Veracka. Charles retired from Colandrea GMC dealership.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY 12520. 10 a.m. service will take place Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Christ Lutheran Church, Fullerton and South St., Newburgh, NY with Pastor Ernst Mossel officiating. Burial will be at Orange County Veteran's Cemetery, Goshen, NY with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Christ Lutheran Church, Newburgh, NY 12550.
