Harry Jefferson Smith of Washingtonville, NY passed away on February 20, 2014 at Elant Adult Home, Goshen, NY. He was 95.
Born in Mount Vernon, NY on March 15, 1918, he was a son of Margaret Mayers Smith and Robert Smith.
Harry worked in Billboard Poster, and Outdoor Advertising and was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He was a member VFW Post 8691 of Washingtonville, NY and Union Member of International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees.
Harry was predeceased by his wife, Stella E. Smith (Misiukiewicz) who died in 2010, and children: Richard Smith and Patricia Chick.
Survivors includes grandchildren: Jennifer Joynt (Chick) of Jersey City, NJ married to Liam Joynt, Heather Borden (Smith) of Newport, NY married to Robert Borden; four great grandchildren: Zachary Borden, Jacob Borden, Isabella Borden, and Stella Joynt; son-in-law: James Chick of New Windsor, NY; daughter-in-law, Debbie Murphy of Newport, NY.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m., Monday, February 24th at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, February 24th at Saint Thomas of Canterbury Cemetery in Cornwall.
