Rose N. Merola, 86, of Cornwall, NY and formerly of Brooklyn, NY, died Thursday, February 6, 2014 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh NY. She was a Graphologist.
She was born March 26, 1927 in Burlington, VT to Enrico Azzarelli and Carmela Mucia.
Survivors include her sons: Alexander Merola and his wife, Madelyn of Lincoln, CA, Ricky Merola and his wife, Sherry of Ft. Worth, TX, Augustus Merola of Brooklyn, Paul Merola and his wife, Randi-Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY, Kevin Merola of East Meadow, NY, Eddie Merola and his wife, Maureen of Mt. Arlington, NJ, and John Merola and his wife, Janice of Middletown, NJ; daughters: Patti Bayack and husband, Ray of Newburgh, NY, Linda Suarez and husband, Ed of Cornwall, NY, Mary Rose Parisi and husband, Patrick of Niskayuna, NY and Peggy Tavolaro and Cono of Commack, NY; grandchildren: Linda, Michael, Raymond, Nick, Brian, Jessica, Michael, Annabelle, Anthony, Jennifer, Ryan, Paul, Dillon, Joseph, Rose, Tori, Chris, Megan, Alexis, Lisa, Kristen, Stephanie CJ, Sarah, Liam, Ikumi, Gary, Michele, Jerry, Andrew, Sara and Kevin; great-grandchildren: Maya, Dylan, Mylia, Carissa, Bryce, Lila and June. She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Eleanor Merola.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 9th at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 10th at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
