Joseph Zupitza, a Retired Insurance Broker with Equitable Life Insurance, New York, NY. In his retirement he owned "The Little Store", Angola Rd., Cornwall, NY.
Joe was born December 24, 1927 to Charles Filatro and Lucille Zupitza.
He was a member of Cornwall Yatch Club, Knights of Columbus, Skyliners Drum and Bugle Corps and founded Girls Catholic High School Swimming Team - Brooklyn, NY.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Zupitza, at home; daughters: Joanne Decker and her husband, Stephen of Wyckoff, NJ, Karen Bergin and her husband, Kenneth of New Windsor, NY and Lynne Schweizer and her husband, Scott of Cornwall, NY and son, Robert Zupitza and his wife, Therese of Newburgh, NY; grandchildren: Stephen Decker and his wife, Meghan, William Bergin and his wife, Emily, Robert Zupitza, Dana Zupitza, Sean Bergin, Ryan Decker, Joseph Zupitza, Jessica Bergin, Matthew and Brian Schweizer, Kaylee Bergin and John Zupitza.
Visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. Saturday, December 21st at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
