Ruth E. Dougan, age 93, of Lititz, PA, formerly of the Cornwall area, died Monday, November 18, 2013 at Moravian Manor in Lititz, PA.
She was born March 10, 1920 in Newburgh, NY to George B. Dougan and Nellie Brockelbank.
She was a Retired Principal with the West Point Elementary School at USMA, West Point, NY.
She was a past member of the 1st Baptist Church, Newburgh NY, Phi Beta Kappa honors with Columbia University, SUNY Master's at SUNY New Paltz.
Survivors include her niece, Linda E. Jannarone and husband, Robert of Manheim, PA. She was predeceased by sisters: Dorothy Henson and Jane Wooten.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20th Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 21st at the Cornwall Baptist Church, Main St., Cornwall, NY. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor, NY.
