Thomas Halvorsen of Cornwall, NY entered into rest on Sunday, November 10, 2013. He was 82.
The son of the late George and Louise Smith Halvorsen, he was born on April 30, 1931 in Cornwall.
Thomas was a Veteran of the US Army, 7th Armored Division. He was retired from IBM and a member of Highland Engine Co. A sports enthusiast, Thomas was an avid bowler and a member of the Cornwall Merchants League.
Survivors include his loving wife Ada; sons Wayne and wife Evelyn; David and wife Vicki; Scott and companion Kathryn; and Kevin and wife Ginette; grandchildren: Bryan and wife Kelly, Christopher, Amanda, Kyle, Meaghan, Jackson, Wyatt and Molly; great-grandchildren: Emma and Ava; brothers George H. and wife Jean; and Robert H. and wife Joan.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 4-7pm at James F. Lulves Funeral Home, 9 Avenue A, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 1pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor, NY.
