Theodora Ginis of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY entered into rest on Friday, November 1, 2013. She was 91.
The daughter of the late John and Erini Phillips, she was born on June 17, 1922 in Bronx, NY.
Theodora was a retired billing clerk for J. Walter Thompson in New York City. She was a member of the American Bluejackets, Inc. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she will be deeply missed.
Survivors include: daughter Irene Stathes and her companion Ron Kowalczyk of Maybrook, NY; son James Ginis and wife Irene of Garden City, Long Island; grandchildren: Theodora Margolis and husband Michael, Christine Stathes and Andrew Stathes; and great-grandchildren, Anthony and Andrea Margolis. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Peter Ginis; her twin sister, Victoria Murphy; brother-in-law Alex Murphy; brothers George Phillips and James Phillips, and a granddaughter, Libby Ginis.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 6 from 4-7pm at James F. Lulves Funeral Home, 9 Avenue A, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. The Trisagion will be held at 6pm during visitation. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 7 at 10am at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 19 Fullerton Ave., Newburgh, NY.
Interment will follow in Cypress Hills Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY.
