Sadly, we need to share with you the passing of Lance Gayton, a devoted husband, loving father, and inspirational Pop.
Lance was taken from us tragically on Wednesday, August 7th. He was 61.
Lance was born in Mountainville, the son of Harold and Anita Gayton.
Lance is survived by his wife, Linda Gayton, with whom he shared an amazing marriage of 31 years. They were blessed with two children, Jennifer Gayton Hayes, and Jason Lance Gayton. Lance was most joyous when spending time with his two grandchildren, Daniel and Sterling Hayes. Also surviving are Lance’s sister-in-law and her husband, Ellen and Martin Walsh of Marstons Mills, MA.
Lance was a true lover of family and home. He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking and travel. He worked for the Teamsters Union Local 445 until the mid eighties, and has since been employed by NYS Regional Maintenance, Palisades Division.
Anyone who wishes to celebrate Lance’s life is invited to gather at 96 Long Hill Road, Highland Mills, NY between the hours of 1 and 5 pm on Wednesday, August 14th. A Sharing Service will be held at 2:30 pm.
