Walter (Trey) Sands III, 51, of Millwood, NY, formerly of Cornwall, NY passed away July 29, 2013, as the result of an accident, at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY.
Born April 14, 1962 in La Jolla, CA, he was the son of Walter J. Sands, Jr. and Brenda Hoare Sands.
He was in Communications with Cable Vision in Yonkers, NY.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1980 to 1984.
A family statement reads, "He loved rock climbing and hiking and his Yankees."
Survivors include his parents: Walter J. Sands and Brenda M. Sands of Cornwall, NY; sister, Brenda Maurer and her husband, Max of Gardiner, NY; a nephew and niece: Jonathan and Elizabeth Maurer.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31st, at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520. Burial will follow the Mass in St. Thomas Cemetery, Cornwall, NY.
