Jack Kakerbeck, Jr., 92, of Washingtonville, formerly of Cornwall, died peacefully at home on Sunday, June 23, 2013.
The son of the late John and Elizabeth Lawson Kakerbeck he was born on October 16, 1920 in New York City.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife Margaret, at home; son Robert; daughters-in-law Kyoko and Anne; granddaughters Akika and Maya; and great-granddaughter Sydney. He was predeceased by his son Jim.
Jack served as a surgical technician in WWII, was an aviation enthusiast who built and flew his own ultralight, was an architect for 34 years and was a man who needs no further fanfare!
The family will gather on Saturday, June 29 from 2-3pm at James F. Lulves Funeral Home, 9 Avenue A, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. Interment will follow in Willow Dell Cemetery.
