Obituaries: Gertrude Bittle Murray

Gertrude Bittle Murray, 95, a retired teacher and homemaker, of Cornwall, NY, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Wallkill NY.
She was born February 4, 1918 in Haskell, NJ to William Mark Bittle and Martha May Williams.
She was married to the late Thomas N. Murray, who passed away in 2010.
Gertrude was a graduate of Middlebury College, Middlebury, VT and a member of Cornwall Presbyterian Church, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY.
Survivors include her daughter, Martha M. LaValee and husband, Roderick of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY; grandchildren: Andre LaValee and wife, Rebecca, Jennifer Wagner and husband, Michael, Nicholas LaValee and Stephen LaValee; great-grandchildren: Catherine Wagner, Gregory Wagner, Douglas Wagner, Luke LaValee and Lillian Gertrude Wagner. She was predeceased by daughter, Katherine Ann Murray and sister, Elizabeth Johns.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 14th at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 15th at the Cornwall Presbyterian Church, 222 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520. Burial will be private.
Donations in Gertrude's name may be made to Cornwall Presbyterian Church, 222 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson NY 12520.
