Maj. James C. Cole, 76, of Chapin, SC, formerly of Cornwall, NY for 40 years, Retired Banker with Fishkill National Bank, Fishkill, NY, died May 8, 2013 at Valley View Nursing Care, Goshen, NY.
He was born June 10, 1936 in Montaque, NJ to James E. Cole II and Marjory Case.
James was a member of Newburgh and Cornwall Jaycee's, Jaycee I-Senator, Adonai Lodge # 718 Free and Accepted Masons, Coach with Cornwall Swim Team and Little League, as well as being an Umpire, also MOAA, Columbia, SC.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Hartshorn Cole, at home; son, James C. Cole Jr. and his wife, Pamela of Bloomingburg, NY; daughter, Christiane C. Pryne and husband, Mark of Cornwall, NY; sister-in-law, Linda Hamel and her husband, Peter; grandchildren: James L. and Kyle A. Cole, Jessica L. and Jenna M. Pryne; several nephews and a niece.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 11th at Quigley Brothers Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday, May 11th. Cremation will follow the funeral service.
