Philip R. Adams, 92, a Retired Milk Man with Dairylea Co., of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY, formerly of Garnerville, NY, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Summit Park Nursing Care in Pomona, NY.
He was married to the late Anne B. McKeefery Adams, who passed December 18, 2008.
He was born September 19, 1920 in New York, NY, to Everett Adams and Margaret Smith Adams.
Survivors include his children: Philip G. Adams and his wife, Liz of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY, Georgette Pronesti and husband, Frank of Kingston, NY, Susan Moran and husband, Michael of Tomkins Cove, NY, Mary Lewis and her husband, Bill of Pt. Pleasant, NJ; sister, Peggy Kessler of Glastonbury, CT; grandchildren: Susan Sherman ESQ and husband, Neal Sherman MD, Francis and Carol Pronesti, James Pronesti, Caroline Young DMD and husband, Steven, Elizabeth and Paul Musselman, Melissa and Jeffrey Angus, Kate, Michael, and Matthew Moran, William, Daniel, Bridgette, Patrick Lewis, Philip, Brian, and Robert Adams; great-grandchildren: Samuel, Charles, Gavin, Alexandra, Ryley, Marina, Francis and Gwyneth. He was predeceased by a sister and brother: Rose Adams and Everett Adams.
Philip was a member of the American Legion of Garnerville, NY.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 1st at Quigley Bros Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 2nd at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson St. Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520.
