Obituaries: Graham E. Kelder, Sr.

Graham E. Kelder, Sr. of Cornwall, NY entered into rest on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Westchester Medical Center. He was 85.
The son of the late Graham R. and Louise Strey Kelder, he was born on August 15, 1927 in Burnside, NY.
Graham was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during WWII. He was a member of the Cornwall Lions Club, the Cornwall Republican Club and American Legion Post 353. He was retired from Central Hudson. He was the Recording Secretary for Local 320 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a member of the ROMEO Club (Retired Old Men Eating Out).
Graham was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and he will be deeply missed.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to everyone who helped them in their time of need.
Survivors include; his loving wife, Mary, at home; daughters: Margaret L. Kelder and spouse Melissa Devine of Cambridge, NY, and Anne M. Barriel and husband William of New Paltz, NY; son Graham Kelder, Jr. of Cambridge, MA; grandchildren: Daniel G., Joshua A., Nathanael J. and Rachel Barriel of New Paltz, NY; nieces: Patricia Ramer and husband Robert, Shari Dade-Ramer and husband Russell, Carol Robarge, and Cheryl Edwards Herman and husband Paul; nephews: David Ramer and wife Roxana, Carl Kelder, and August Kelder, Jr. and their families. He was predeceased by his loving sister and guardian, Pearl Zwart and husband Richard, and siblings: Hannah, Effie, Doris, Lorena, and August.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 24 from 1-3pm and 6-8pm at James F. Lulves Funeral Home, 9 Avenue A, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 25 at 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Graham’s memory be made to a charity of one’s choice.
