Warren Francis Herzog, 87, of Cornwall, NY, formerly of Goshen, NY for 25 yrs passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 at Hudson Valley Hospital, Peekskill, NY. Born September 22, 1925 in Hackensack, NJ, he was the son of Herbert Herzog and Loretta Keehn Herzog.
He was the husband of Jane Hopkins Herzog for 56 years. He was retired from sales with Caldwell Supply Co. in Trenton, NJ.
Warren served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1943-45; Graduated from University of Maryland, He was the President of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity; a Member of St. John's church, Goshen, NY, Cataract Eng. Co & Fire Police, Goshen Lions, Ocean Pines Fire Ambulance Co.; Volunteer with Atlantic General hospital, Berlin, MD; Founding member of Goshen Recreation; and also Founding Board Member of Arden Hill Hospital and Atlantic General Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Hopkins Herzog at home; children, Betty Bennett (Mike Becker), Diana McNally (Sean), Judy Railey (Dave Storms), John Herzog (Tara); grandchildren, Brittany and Charles Bennett, Brian and Kevin McNally, Danny, Brad and Samantha Railey, Aly, Ryan and Casey Herzog; sister, Lila Bruce. He was predeceased by his parents, Loretta (Tootsie) and Herbert Herzog; brother, William Herzog and wife, Jeannette.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520.
A Mass of Christian Burial is at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Thomas of Canterbury, 340 Hudson St. Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY.
