Joan Veronica Lecce, 81 years old of Cornwall, NY passed away December 30, 2012 at St. Lukes Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, NY.
She was born December 7, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph Kelly and Theresa Donovan Kelly.
Joan was a retired Welder with Lightron Co. in New Windsor, NY. She was married to the late Angelo P. Lecce, who passed away April 27, 1982.
Survivors include a daughter, Felicia Ann Lecce of Cornwall, NY; nieces and nephews: Tullio Tarallo (Cathy), Phillip Tarallo (Sandy), Roseann Coakley, Carol Jean Russo (Sam), Kathy Citta (Dominick), Joann Tarallo (William), Theresa Riddle (Bob), Kim Farrier, Terry Arteberry (Jay), Wayne Kelly , Denise Brown (Ken); sister-in-law, Ellen Kelly; and a number of great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by husband, Angelo P.Lecce; her parents; brothers, Gerard and Joseph (Buddy) Kelly; sisters, Maryellen Kelly, Ann Green, Loretta and Theresa Kelly.
A Family Statement read: "Joan was a loving mother, aunt and a good friend to all who knew her. She was generous and was always there to help anyone in need."
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will 10 a.m. Friday, January 4 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson St., Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY 12520. Burial to follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Cornwall, NY.
