Obituaries: Robert E. Quillin Sr.

Robert E. Quillin Sr., 91, a retired owner of Quillin's Garage and Fuel Oil, Hudson St., of Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y., passed away Monday, December 10, 2012, at home.
Son of Eugene F. Quillin and Marcia Plowright, he was born October 7, 1921. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen M. Riley Quillin.
Survivors include his children: Patricia Quillin and Larry Quillin, both of Santa Cruz, CA, Robert Quillin of Reno, NV and Wayne Quillin of Arlington, VA; grandchildren: Eugene, Sam, Kelly Quillin of Arlington, VA, Molly and Sean Quillin of Santa Cruz, CA; brotherin-law, John and Leslie Riley.
He was a member of St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, an over 50 year member of Storm King Engine Co. #2 of Cornwall-on-Hudson and on the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Zoning Board of Appeals.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2012 at Quigley Brothers Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520. Burial to follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Cornwall, NY.
