Della E. Satterly, of Cornwall, N.Y, entered into rest on Thursday, September 27, 2012 in Wildwood, N.J. among her friends, living life to the fullest. She was 92 years young.
The daughter of Percy and Mazie Pettit, she was born on April 7, 1920 in Newark, N.J.
Della was a member of the Cornwall Golden Age Club and a volunteer at Munger Cottage. She was also a member of Highland Engine Ladies Auxiliary and the Orange Co. Volunteer Firemen’s Association Ladies Auxiliary. She also participated in the Orange Co. Senior Olympics.
Della was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, and she will be deeply missed by all.
Survivors include her daughters; Roxanne Galvin and husband Bob of Cornwall; Jean Grabianowski and husband John of Middletown; two granddaughters, Melissa Gokey and Heather Galvin; and three grandsons, Tyler, Adrian and Aedan. She was predeceased by her husband John Satterly.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 2-5pm at James F. Lulves Funeral Home, 9 Avenue A, Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 10am at the Cornwall United Methodist Church, 196 Main St., Cornwall, N.Y. Interment will follow in Wallkill Cemetery, Middletown, N.Y.
