When Tom Doyle looks around him, he sees possibilities in shadow, fog, and the rising sun. As a resident of Cornwall for the last four years, Doyle sees a location that has the potential to be a great photo -- and he may come back to visit it a hundred times in different light before he takes a shot.
Other times, Doyle happens upon a setting that has all the dramatic elements that he seeks in his photos. The light and atmosphere may be fleeting, however, and he has to rush to set up his camera and tripod before the moment disappears.
