Corrine Bambino, a homemaker from Beacon, NY, formerly of Massapequa, NY and Cornwall, NY, died peacefully with her family by her side on June 16, 2011 at Wingate Beacon in Beacon, NY. She was 92.
Born September 7, 1918, she was the daughter of Pasquale Lordi and Marie Riccardella. She was the widow of the late Vincent Bambino.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Nicholas G. Bambino and his wife, Patricia of Cornwall, NY; daughter, Lorraine Russo and her husband, John of Monroe Township, NJ; grandchildren: Jennifer Chase, Maribeth Chitkara, John Russo Jr. and James Bambino; six great grandchildren, and several loving nieces and a nephew. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Melissa Bambino.
A family statement reads: "We would like to thank the caring nursing staff at the Putnam Unit of Wingate Beacon. We would also like to thank the staff at the New Windsor Country Inn, New Windsor, NY for their wonderful care during the years that Corinne lived there."
Visitation will private for family at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY 12520.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson St., Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Burial to follow in Pinelawn Cemetery, Pinelawn, NY.
