George Romanos, 92, of Cornwall, NY passed away at Campbell Hall Heath Care - Campbell Hall, NY on October 31, 2010.
He was a retired foreman tailor at the Cadet Store at United States Military Academy at West Point, NY for 34 years and was married to Eleanor VanBuren Romanos.
He was born August 24, 1918 in Albania to James Romanos & Victoria Doko Romanos.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Van Buren Romanos at home; his daughter, Christine Grausso and her husband, Scott of Pleasant Valley, NY; and his adopted Thomaidas family. He was predeceased by brothers, Nick & Elais Romanos.
George served proudly in the U.S. Army from 1942-1946. He was a member of Black Rock Fish & Game Club, Mountainville, NY and Bethlehem Rod & Gun Club. He loved Golf and Bowling.
Visitation is from 11 a.m.-12 Noon, Thursday, November 4, at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Funeral service and burial will be private.
